Hoss, on Bonanza, is just about the right size.

John Wayne was big, granted, but he never put a strain on his horse like old Hoss did.

Desperate Dan would have been a big star if he had been real instead of a cartoon.

I went through a phase of admiring ugly cowboys for a while.

Toothy Thomson was a good example. Gunsmoke, was it? Sugarfoot?

I was a big fan of Yosemite Sam. I think it was the over-sized hat.
