I have the coolshader problem also. I am writing a new post since that is what I read in the forums. The following is my Hijack This log. I need to know which files I should fix and/or delete. I was told to do this so that I do not mess up anything because it might be different for everybody. Thanks a ton. I am really fed up with this!

You have more than one problem there, pype. To get an idea of what to do, see THIS THREAD

Once you've read through that, (and, if you are able to, - your hijackers may prevent you from getting to them right now - download Spybot S&D and AdAware ... but don't install them yet) there are a couple things I'd like you to do to get started.

First, Disable System Restore (in XP, logged in as a user with Administrator status, Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer)
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" check box-you will lose your previous restore points - when everything is done, NOT BEFORE, and your system is working as it should, follow the same proceedure, removing the checkmark to re-enable, then set a restore point. Be patient; that will be a while off, yet.

Now,create a folder on your C: drive (not on your desktop), named "Hijack This", then download Hijackthis into that folder using this link: HijackThis
Don't unzip it yet, just get it.

Next, again on your C: drive, create another folder named "Coolweb Shredder", and from this link, CWShredder, download CoolWeb Shredder into that folder.

Close all browser windows, disconnect from the internet, then navigate to the "CoolWeb Shredder" folder on your C: Drive. Open the folder, unzip CWShredder, run it, selecting "Fix", not "Scan", and let it fix whatever it finds.

Now, reboot, do not connect to the internet, navigate to the "HijackThis" folder, open it, and run Hijackthis. If it finds the following (CWShredder may have taken care of some of them already), check them and have Hijackthis fix them:

C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\ztmbqluz.exe

C:\WINDOWS\twaintec.dll

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.coolsearch.biz

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {000020DD-C72E-4113-AF77-DD56626C6C42}

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SysUpd] C:\WINDOWS\sysupd.exe

O16 - DPF: {5F426A93-0821-47D2-A126-5A48A874B289} (DialerWeb Class) - http://212.145.159.194/251065/dialercab/WebRecomendada.cab

O16 - DPF: {EF86873F-04C2-4A95-A373-5703C08EFC7B} (Installer Class) - http://www.xxxtoolbar.com/ist/softwares/v3.0/0006.cab

Now, go into Add/Remove programs, and if there is anything there named "Twaintech", or anything very similar, uninstall it, then search (in All folders, Subfolders, Hidden Folders, and System Folders) for anything with the textstring "twain*" (without the quotes but include the asterisk) and if-found-delete any files or folders clearly related to Twaintec. Don't delete stuff named just "Twain" or TWAIN", whatever the extension - your camera and/or scanner needs that - just "Twaintec" or very similar. Refer to the thread I sent you to at the beginning of this post for a more in-depth discussion and specific instructions regarding TwainTec.

Now, go to Control Panel, Internet Options, and under the General tab, set Homepage to "Use Default", delete Cookies, Delete Files - confirm you wish to delete "All Offline Content" - and clear History. Set the Security and Privacy tabs to "Default", click "Apply", then click "OK" to exit. Empty your Recycle Bin, then reboot.

Before attempting to connect to the internet, run HiJackthis again, save the log, but don't "Fix" anything this time. Now, connect to the internet, and post your new log in this thread. There will be more to do.
