I want to get offeroptimizer off of my computer...

Reply Tue 13 Apr, 2004 05:05 pm
I think that I deleted all of the things I needed to delete in order to get offeroptimizer off of my computer. Would someone take a look at this log and tell me if there is anything else I need to delete.
Thanks!

You have a buncha problems there. To start with, you have the Blaster Worm. Your first step is gonna hafta be to get rid of that. Use This Link directly the download of Stinger. When the download box opens, select "Save", save it to your desktop. When the download completes, select "Open", and, if necessary, click the red-and-yellow Icon to open Stinger. Once Stinger is open, click the blue "Preferences" button.
In the top lefthand panel, "Scan these targets", the "Processes" box already should be checked. Add a checkmark to the "Boot Sectors" box. Ignore the "Interface" Panel. In righthand panel, "On Virus detection", make sure "Repair" is clicked. In the bottom panel, place a check next to "Scan all files", then click "OK". Click the green "Scan Now" button, and let it run and fix whatever it finds.

Then, See

and
This Topic.

Doing as recommended in those topics should clear up many of your problems. Once you've gotten things cleaned up as well as possible using the tools provided, we can move on to whatever, if anything, remains.
