Alright, i want a general opinion on who should win. I'm going to lay down the facts, and then let you post your comment. Game on.
PlayStation 2
Creators: Sony
Release Date: 2002
Price: £120
Backward Compatible
An excellent feature, which can be used to its full advantage. This meant that games from the original Playstation could be played on the advanced speed and technology of the sequel. You can keep some classics and buy some new ones with this feature. Some games however from the original are said to have problems on the sequel, but this has been rarely reported and not too much of a problem.
DVD Player
This is a simple function which works to a fair standard. It is still recommended you have a seperate DVD player, as the controlling and general freedom you get with original DVD players is much better. If you want to use the function to its full potential, a Dvd remote is the thing, and they are very expensive.
Small Lifetime
Statistics show that the Playstation 2 breaks down more than any other console.
Eventually hard to develop for
Because its the oldest, game companies are strugglign to make games to use it to it's fullest potential, and eventually the great run of games the PS2 has may come to an end.
In a Nutshell
If you want great games, a reliable console and the popular choice, working on fairly good graphics then a PS2 is a must have. But if you're in it for it's extra features, or its power, then you might wanna give it a miss.
