Can't enter fastboot mode on Xperia P !

I'm following a tutorial to unlock my Xperia P's Bootloader, but I Can't seem to start it in fastboot mode.. I read that you should hold down the volume down key while plugging the usb cable into the pc, but It doesn't seem to be working..
If anyone knows something about this, please share it with us, any help will be appreciated !
