How to find an IT internship?

Seriously, make calls to corporate human resource departments and ask if they have any internships available. If you are in the US, check your local public television stations, local libraries, etc.

Where are you located? What country and nearest large city?

Im in San Jose, CA

Should be plenty of work over there. If you are in an education program somewhere then the school should be able to help you find in internship. Otherwise you might try contacting local charity organizations which could use some volunteer help. It also depends on what level of complexity in IT systems you are looking for. Desktop support/repair should be pretty common. Enterprise level systems will be harder to find.

The public broadcasting stations in the Bay Area are always looking for interns/volunteers for their IT work.
