Disco John who runs an entertainment business to provide the necessary entertainment for her party for $1000 payable on the night. Jane immediately contacts Disco John informing him that she no longer has a venue for the party and that she no longer requires his services. Disco John tells Jane that as far as he is concerned they have an agreement and that she is bound to pay the full entertainment fee whether or not she cancels the booking. On the same evening as Jane’s party, Disco John had been asked to do a guest appearance at a popular night club for $500 to which he had still not yet responded.
How do you expect anybody to give you an answer? We don't even know what country this is supposed to be in or if there was a written contract. Ask a local lawyer.
