School watch

I dont know how to do links on my phone, but CNN today has a story about a one year suspension for assault by hug. this seems extreme to me.

I saw that story yesterday. The teacher called it "sexual assault". There's a video of it and it shows she clearly did not want to be hugged but it doesn't look like assault.

The kid isn't going to be able to graduate and it looks like the suspension is going to muck up some prospective scholarships he was up for.

Sad.

something needed to be done, but to me this penalty is like 30 days in jail for jaywalking. I am sure the adults are trying to say "we are in charge!" but what it says is " we have lost control".
