Hi me and my 3 minor boys get survivor benefits from my late husband. he get little over $3700 a month for all of us. I am thinking about getting remarried and was wondering will their benefit amount go up because my benefits will drop off? and stay the same of $3700 per month I called social security and she told they wont know until i get married and it gets processed. I just cant afford for the money to drop if i get remarried, can anyone help me with this?
I believe that the children will continue to get the benefits but you won't since you remarried.
I don't understand why you can't find this out over the phone from SS.
