Centering a Table on Html

I am having lots of trouble trying to center a table on HTML. I do know how to center font , but not the table itself. Please help! Confused

A couple simple ways:

Code:<table align="center"><tr><td>centered content</td></tr></table>

Code:<div align="center"><table><tr><td>centered content</td></tr></table></div>

maybe you should read a book on it, one i read had an entire section on tables.
