Ironically, Putin (the one with the gun in the picture) doesn't believe that ordinary citizens should have guns; not even for self defense.

Putin apparently once made a statement expressing a dim view on treating guns like Obungaphones i.e. on the government artificially stimulating such a trade.

Russia is a gigantic manufacturer of firearms and weaponry of all sorts. There's no possibility whatsoever of their keeping firearms out of civilian hands.
