I didn't write this, my niece did. She was over and I was showing her this site and told her to get off the computer. Wow I can't wait until I talk to her again. Lesson learned- don't leave your computer unattended!

Try hitting the window key and the letter L key when you get up from the computer locking the computer assuming you have an account password set.

I seriously didn't think she would write anything. At least it wasn't too bad I guess. I didn't have a problem with her using my computer. She has used it before because she has a pc and I use a mac.

Oh what is the window key? I am looking at my keyboard and don't see a window key. Yes I do have a password set.

You don't have a Windows key, because you have a Mac. BillRM assumed you had a PC.

Actually I do have a pc and I hardly use it. I mainly use the mac.

Pls let us all know if you have a Windows Key on a Mac. That would be very interesting because a Mac computer does not use MS Windows as its OS.

OTOH, on a pc, the Windows key is generally on the lower left bottom row...2nd from the end on a Win7 computer keyboard.

I think the point was that you were talking about your niece using your Mac....NOT the pc.

It was a wrong guess however given once more that windows machines are nine out of ten machines on the internet the odds was very high that it would be the correct guess.
