I'M not a Russia authority but let me answer with a question:
why in the Bible the only times when God physically killed whole nations were the Flood and Sodom with Homorra? Don't you find it strange? Other sinner at least have never been killed by God directly!
I understand that USA and Europe are no longer based on Christian morals.
But Russia I hope will stick to the Biblical values.

What it sounds like, is that Putin and the ruling circle in Russia have made a hard, cold analysis of the things which are presently bringing the West down, and determined that those things are not going to be allowed to bring Russia down.

It definitely so, but 99% of Russians, as I said think that there should be more actions against gay propaganda than that. Mostly people suggest that we should:
1) Put them gays in jail but let them flee to other countries if other countries (in "Gay-rope" (Europe) want to give them shelter.
2) Let them live but God forbid they even think about showing off! No gay clubs, not gay-parades, no info about gays whatsoever. Full control of any video and media. At least there should be a gay warning on all videos we buy or download.
Guys, if you want to experiment with this gay liberty you go ahead and practise. We firmly believe that our ancesstors new better and that's why you never heard of these c...suckers in past. We want to stick to Biblical principals and morality. Otherwise the society SHALL dissapear. Soddom and Hommorra are good example. Or ancien Rome that also went that direction and where is that ancient Rome now?
