I might imagine someone else has started a thread on this subject. I did a search on A2K on this subject and came up with nothing.

Also I doubt that anyone on A2K is as well connected to gay publications on the subject as I am. I am connected to hundreds of gay publications.

My concern is the gay teens that are at this moment fighting for a place in a society that has all but imploded due to orthodox Christian hatred fueled by the homophobic support of the Russian government.

And you know the Bible is at the center of this just as the Bible was used to justify the killing of Jews at Auschwitz...

I hope people know I am being cynical in my opening paragraph on this thread... I am against any and all violence and hate speech against gays, just to make myself crystal clear.

A court in Canada just outlawed hate speech against gays. That means you can go to jail for calling a person a faggot. Far ahead of US laws at this time and this is where US law needs to go. Free speech should not leave people in bondage.

But Putin thinks the threatening homophobic skinhead hate message to teens is perfectly acceptable and condoned by law but "gay propaganda" to teens is sinful...

Who are the adults here molesting the minds and souls of teens? The Russian government has assumed the role of papa pedophile with "Pooten" as their patron saint.

Where are the Russian laws that prohibit hate speech and protect gay teens from vigilante skin head gangs?

I definitely think we as a nation should boycott the Sochi Olympics, and if we don't, then hopefully individual athletes will. Russia just gets scarier and scarier.

As a nation yes, as an individual I have already boycotted the games. I won't be tuning in regardless, out of respect and reverence for the dead and terrified Russian gay teens...

I don't think Europe's law as they are concerning gays and even youngsters in general are all fine. I have always vehemently thought that the age of consent in all of Europe should be 18...

Why? The physical brain stops growing around the age of 18, simple enough. Before that time I don't think youngsters can make informed decision about engaging in sexual relations with adults. With other children their age, well, **** happens and these types of infractions can at times be overlooked and even pardoned but adults with 14 and 15 year old kids is simply wrong in my book. It always will be wrong no matter how progressive or liberal a society becomes...

Certain types of gay "propaganda" to youngsters, as they call it in Russia, should be permissible only things that encourage a positive outlook on gay sexuality.

Other propaganda, encouraging promiscuous sex should be off limits whether EQUALLY heterosexual or homosexual in nature.

But some parents let their children watch shows like "Sex in the City" where promiscuous sex is the rule of the day, and so is herpes...

I refused to watch that show because I prefer to gear my lifestyle towards an idea of a monogamous and closed relationship.

So it really comes down to the parents and the immorality they allow their children to engage in.

So if they are so concerned about morality they should first stop shipping their kids off to the pedophile priests of the Orthodox Church!

The age of consent in Russia is 16! You might want to look at that first Pootin before you start judging the west!

I myself don't want my life defined by some sort of reversed hate but I have a duty to my LGBT family that transcends my artistic endeavors and comes first in my own view of things...

I find this an extremely sad commentary on the times of our lives...
