Michael George Ansara (April 15, 1922 – July 31, 2013) was a Syrian-born American stage, screen, and voice actor best known for his portrayal of Cochise in the American television series Broken Arrow, Kane in the 1979–1981 series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Commander Kang on three different Star Trek television series, Deputy U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart on the NBC series, Law of the Plainsman, and providing the voice for Mr. Freeze in Batman: The Animated Series and several of its spin-offs.
91 years and three months---a good run.

It's dumb the way they're portraying him in the news as primarily a "Star Trek" actor, despite the fact that that was a minor one of his many hundreds of roles. He was great as the American Indian Lame Beaver in the mini-series "Centennial."
@Brandon9000,
My favorite episode with him was in the short-lived The Westerner series, starring Brian Keith. Before that I identified him as Cochise in Broken Arrow. I never watched him in Star Trek.
I remember him well from Star Trek; he was the first really three-dimensional Klingon character, not a mustache-twirling villain.
@jespah,
I recall him as Quarlo Calpregni in the Twilight Zone episode where he was some alien soldier from another dimension who accidently got teleported into a small town USA

He was from the future where they lit cigarettes by sticking them like a match.
Tried to report his status to the language expert's cat.
