My webhost doesn't have awstats =(
But I do get graphs and such. I wonder about how accurate they are however, is there anyway for me to verify this? Also my stats don't give me the search engine queries that people used to get to my site, does anyone know of any other software that I could easily add that would give me at least that if not just that?
I got awstats to work, but I don't know if I get keywords and keyphrases logged and that's important.
Awstats can log keywords and phrases. ;-)
Is it awstats that logs the keywords and phrases or is it the log software on the server that does it?
On my server I can't change the httpd.conf file so I don't know if that seriously hinders it. So far I can check the stats by manually updating the file.
awstats doesn't actually log anything, it's a log fil analysis program. So yeah, the above comment is misleading.
The server software must be configured to log things, awstats and ilk are just programs that analyze the data and then put it into theor database for display.
okay thanks, I'll check with my host then. btw, I emailed you.
