hi
i was downloading a file from kazaa lite and it infected my computer with this omegasearch browser hijack. I have tried all kinds of things to get rid of it but none seem to work.
I have also tried spybot and ad-aware neither of which seem to be able to remove it.
Can anyone help me get rid of this omegasearch or recommend some high street software that could remove it?
Im a little reluctent to purchase software over the net as im sure this is what omegasearch is waiting for.

This is exactly the reason I don't bother with anything like this kazaa thing.
They all turn your machine into a breeding ground for parasites and other web mendicants.

tell me about it? its the last time i use kazaa. Ive also used bit torrent and soulseek any thoughts on those?
I usually find success with a cocktail approach
1) Run adaware
2) Run SPybot
3) Run Bazooka
4) Run Hijackthis
At the end, I have a clean machine..... :wink:
