eoe, It's just difficult for me to imagine Joaquin as Johnny Cash. I know I saw it somewhere on the news. I'll try and search it out again. What's IMDb?

There's a slight resemblance, even. I think he'll be great. He proved his mettle in Gladiators to me. People absolutely despised his character, a sure sign of a good actor. Reese as June is what's throwing me but she will probably do well also. These are two of the more talented young actors around today.

Thanks, line man. I just didn't recognize the abbreviation. I have never seen any of the Legally Blonde stuff, though.

eoe, Joaquin Phoenix is one of the finest actors that I have ever watched. I loved him in 16 millimeter with Nicholas Cage, and he was far better than Russell Crowe in Gladiator, I thought. I just can't see enough of a resemblance to Johnny Cash, but Hollywood can do wonders. Hope Joaquin is good at lip sync. I've never seen anyone do that better than George Clooney in O Brother Where Art Thou.

As an aside, Turner is trying to get A2K'ers to write a novel. Should either of you like a link, I will provide it.

You've got a point, shepaints. I think it's a little too soon also.

Mornin', folks. Production doesn't start till June, and it will probably take a while to complete the picture, so perhaps it will time out all right.

Probably won't be out until 2005.
