In the case of the first Iraq war, Saddam invaded Kuwait and lost the war.

In both cases the choice was made by a belligerent that thought they could annex a country and get away with it. Now... what have YOU learned?

Think of all those who died fighting in IRAQ ; a war of choice! They all died in vain, thanks in part to Rush Limbaugh who brain washed his idiot heads who believe what he says into believing that there were WMDS in iraq. Limbaugh has the blood of american servicemen on his hands and formerly nicotined stained fingers[chubby]

Most of us who keeps up with US politics know about the illegal war started in Iraq by the Bush gang. That's not the subject of this thread; it's about "the main reason that Germany lost w.w.2."

Japan didn't have any raw materials - including oil. They got too big for their own breaches, and lost big time! Admiral Yamamoto who went to Harvard knew from the very beginning that Japan would lose the war.

there are parallel lines running between the Iraq war[1st.gulf war] and the start of the 2nd.
In the first instance the problem was iraq's grab of kuwait . in both cases territory was torn apart by the british ,first in iraq and then in germany ,orchestrated by versailles.

I have already served in the middle east, 3 times as a matter of fact, and I am still alive.
None of it was for Israel, and if I had to do all of it again, I would.
