I picked these paintings up at a garage sale. They appear to be pretty well done. The are on oak (I think) wood panels that have been covered with paper. They are roughly 8 X 11" / 20 X 28 CM. The frames are not guilded, but are hand-carved wood with a plaster façade and gold paint. I don't think the frames were made for the paintings because they do not fit very well. There is a signature on one painting (I am fairly certain they are the same artist) but the signature is very difficult to make out and web research for all the permutations of it have yielded nothing. The signature appears to be "Lou Perrez" or "Jay Perrez" though the first letter of the of the forename is totally rubbed off. I'm hoping somebody out there will be somewhat familiar with the artist or the style or era. I think the are from c.a. 1900 - 1940. Here are the photobucket links:

Thank you all!
You'll need to try again. Your photobucket link just goes to photobucket's home page, your images aren't there.
