Hi. I have got a external hardrive on my playstation 3. I have formatted it, so it reconises it and everything but it doesn't save or load to or from the harddrive. Is there a way or making it do this or is it a lost cause. Just to note I am not a computer expert so can I have a simple step by step plan for newbies please.

I always use Scotchtape.
It never works, but I always use it.

What does scotch tape do? Does this mean plugging the harddrive to the compter?....sorry I am not new to the harddrive world.
