Removing software from ADD and Remove Programs WinXp

hi, maybe this was covered here before but i was unable to find info. Ho do i remove stuff like "Window HotfiX......" without a remove tab under add/remove programs in Control pannel? Also how do i remove Yahoo's Connection Manager in add/remove? thanks.
