Italian opera, that's a wonderful idea. This is Puccini's Un bel di, "re-interpreted" by Sarah Brightman, the greatest English soprano of her age--and still hot, hot, hot!

By the living Gawd that made you,
And the silly twit who named you,
You're bigger loon than i, Gunga Dim.

@Setanta,
Female roles aren't the big problem. The problems are:

The male dramatic roles all sound like somebody experiencing diarrhea and a colonoscopy at the same time.

The themes of the operas are generally just stupid intrigues (the themes of German and Russian operas are generally loftier).

The language itself just basically sounds ugly.

The good news is that as TV and the internet continue to shrink the world, the Italian language will probably go away. The two Romance languages which will survive will be French and Spanish.

Four limey yobs singing in monotones...

Compare ...

The old classic "Where have you been"

The way the Beatles butcher it:

And the way it's supposed to be sung (Arthur Alexander):

See what I mean?

@panzade,
Those are chips, the picture is deceptive. It's a big bag of frozen chips that needs to be cooked.

An obvious one....

Helter Skelter.....

This version answers the question....what would it sound like if The Beatles morphed with Led Zep......
