@izzythepush,
Cool . . . thanks . . . if you find any links to the material, it would be greatly appreciated. Of course, i suspect they'll market it heavily, and that it will be some time before it is available (legally, at least) online.

@Setanta,
I will do, but I think the BBC's motives are more financial than altruistic.

@Setanta,
It was actually in the news a few weeks back, I meant to post then but forgot, it was only when this thread appeared on my posts that I remembered.

@panzade,
Before you feel too sorry for yourself, you post was talking about radio broadcasts, and Izzy is talking about studio sessions. It's easy enough to see why one would think they were different material.

This is not the Beatles, but i think people might enjoy it. This is from the 1987 Prince's Trust Concert. George Harrison on lead vocals, Harrison and Eric Clapton on lead guitar, Jeff Lynne on rhythm guitar and back-up vocals, and Richard Starkey and Phil Collins on drums.

@Setanta,
I also see Mark King (bass guitar) from Level 42, Elton John on piano, and the wonderful Jools Holland, also on piano.
There's certainly a few bobs worth of rock star on that stage.

Side note: Jools has a TV show called "Later with Jools Holland", where he has one big studio with five or six bands dotted around, all taking turns to play a number or two. The bands range from the biggest names right down to unknown newcomers.
He is highly respected in the music industry, and what he doesn't know about music isn't worth knowing.

@Lordyaswas,
George with Bob Dylan - even more of a prequel to the Wilburys perhaps?

But don't forget what the man at Decca said more than 50 years ago--guitar groups are on the way out.

@Lordyaswas,
I often watch "Later" only to scratch my head at where R&R is today.
