@Brandon9000,
I like that last part about Rowe. But, it was too late by then.

Here's one i don't think we've had posted in the thread . . . George considered this the first song he composed, and it's the first Harrison song to appear on an album. (He was credited in two other songs, but didn't consider that he really had had a part in composing them.)

Off topic for a second but...how the hell can posters on a Beatles thread get thumbed down?

@panzade,
Not the first time it's happened to one of my posts - and for no reason that I can think of. I can't see anything offensive in those gifs - just seemed to fit into this thread!

@panzade,
That truly is incredibly stupid. People who don't like the Beatles should stay the hell out of the thread. People who do like the Beatles have nothing to be offended about.

Pop groups are not the only ones who have covered Beatles songs . . .

If you listen carefully to this one, about halfway through, you'll hear Paul and John singing "frere Jacques" in the background

Quote:
Previously unreleased recordings and studio chatter by The Beatles are to be made available for the first time.

The new release will include early hits and cover songs recorded at the BBC in 1963 and 1964, such as Lucille and The Hippy Hippy Shake.

There is also audio of the group talking to radio presenters such as Radio 2's Brian Matthew.

On Air - Live At The BBC Volume 2, out on 11 November, follows the successful Live at the BBC album issued in 1994.
