Evolution: What Real Scientists Have to Say

abiogenesis is exactly the word Id use to describe CREATION. Fools deny what lies before them in evidence yet they still claim the BOOGEYMAN did it.

GAbor, ALL EVOLUTIONARY THEORY IS SILENT ON ORIGINS. (DID you cqatch the ALL part?). Yet the process of evolution is well evidenced and observable. It is underpinned by all the sciences that converge on the theory or provide basic data to its progression. To deny that is to be one who rolls in his ignorance and wears its dung like a Poland China pig in a shithole

You are right though, the last big area of discovery is to see and understand how life actually began. Its beyond our capability NOW. however the world of species affinities and associations as defined by DNA is less than 30 years old and, before that time, we didnt understand how the molecular and protein messages that preserve form and function even counted the eventsw of the various species.
We can make marvelous leaps of knowledge in 30 years. We are nearing the understanding of how self replecating molecules and rNA messenger proteins work to kick off the engines of life. no matter what, I dont fear what we find, either way. Why not just keep an open mind and show some curiosity. MAYBE, at the end of the search, one day a scientist will discover that the original molecular message posted in the antediluvian SLIME was "let there be light"

If your God gave you such a marvelous brain, dont you think she'd want you to use it for more than an endless tape loop good only for spouting Biblical garbage, most of which has been disproved centuries ago.

i dont wanna get into another evolution thread cause im trying to get a life , but I have to appeal to my colleagues here that Gabor started it.

You've touched on central point: evolution only concerns itself with what happened after the ball was set in motion, and therefore is niether evidence for or against the concept of a creator (though it may come into conflict with the various creation fairy tales of religions.)

Go forth and have a life, FM . . . such life may also entail the occasional, relatively harmless fun of boobing the rube . . . i feel fairly certain you'll not suffer for it in the Great By-m-By . . .

I still wanna know why trillions of years have slipped by, and no one told me . . . you guys are about as reliable as a stopped clock . . .

I don't think any reputable cosmologist has put the age of the universe in the trillions of years, so don't go checking the sofa cushions just yet.

Cosmological "evolution": NOTHING made itself into ALL THINGS.

Nonlife to life "evolution" (abiogenesis): chemical slime hit by lightnings very frequently for trillions of years (several full lifetimes of universes)[/color] suddenly it becomes a highly sophisticated living organism (cell) BY ACCIDENT . . . blah, blah, woof, woof . . . . "

Emphasis added for obvious reasons . . .

Now tell me you didn't know, FM . . .

Well, heres a thought I had while taking an urgent haircut.
If theres slime, its gotta be organic. Good slime is organic no?

Ill check back, Im gonna go wish BbB one more hAppy birthday before she turns in

read a good article in the SA many years back, about clay structures with appropriate available bonds for elaborating proteins . . . slime indeed . . . when it comes to scientific literature, i don't get out enough . . .

yep thats the direction that evidence is going. clays have lots of charged surfaces and collapsing layers. in wateer clays are the chemical cuisinart of colloidal reactions. A Little snip, an attached charged colloid and badabing--its replicating.

elegant, simply elegant, probably all wrong, but elegant

entia non sunt multiplicanda . . .

We gotta pick one, an' stick with it . . . i ain't signin' up for no trillions of years though, i just got my mind unboggled, and i ain't takin' no more chances . . .

Maddy
Maddy sniffed Garbor's poop and decided it needed more time to evolve into an intelligent life form.

ILZ, we dont have to be all serious all the time now do we? i think the TOS requires that we insert some levity into each thread lest we get all self important. I remember seeing that somewhere. If I didnt read it, it oughta be in there.
