Photos from iPhone to PC

Doesn't iTunes work in managing the iPhone and whatever is on it?

You can easily transfer photos from your iPhone to PC but for that you need to install one app from iTunes store i.e. "Photo Transfer App". This is one of best app to transfer photos from iPhone or iPad to Mac or Windows PC using your local wi-fi.

Being a complete and utter dinosaur when it comes to this stuff, I simply send an email from my phone, to myself, attaching any photos I want to keep.
I then sign out and go to my pc, sign in to my email account, open up my email and capture the photos onto my PC.
