My question was based on age. He's 71, and he'll be almost 74 by the time the next election rolls around. For whatever geezers like us may think, the party may want someone younger.

2016 is a long way off. He isent likely to be pres but dont count anyone out yet. Why some brain dead conservative like waterman could even have a chance. After all we elected the shrub twice.

True. I have been reading up on him today. Surely there is someone out there closer than him to what I want to see in a candidate. I wrote the following on another thread.

I have got to hear a candidate vow to reinforce Social Security and Medicare, not just promise it will not go away. They will have to vow to quit giving away the store to rich corporations while more and more gets taken from the working people. They will have to ease away from perpetual war as a solution for every foreign policy situation. Above all they will have to show positive evidence that they will not abandon every position that rubs Republicans the wrong way. I like Biden, but I don't know where he stands on these issues for certain. I do promise to vote third party from now on if my modest proposals are not a part of a Democratic campaign.
