During an appearance at a conservative political convention on Saturday, Georgia Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene had a great many bad things to say about the President Joe Biden.

But Ironically, Greene’s criticism surely must have sounded like compliments to at least some people who have listened to her remarks. Biden, Greene warned, wants to “address” issues such as “education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty.” Which we assume comes as a huge shock to Democratic voters. (We kid, we kid.)

Greene was speaking at the 2023 Turning Point USA conference. That’s the annual gathering put on by the right wing nonprofit organized for young conservatives, that frequently attracts some of the biggest names in the Republican party.

During her remarks, Greene compared Biden to a previous Democratic president, Lyndon B. Johnson. “How are they the same? They’re both Democrat socialists,” Greene said.

“Lyndon B. Johnson was the majority leader in the Senate. Does that sound familiar?” Greene continued, sounding more like she was delivering a book report than a speech. “He was Vice President to Kennedy, Joe was Vice President Obama. He was appointed as the president after JFK was assassinated. Then he was elected.”

“His socialist programs were the Great Society,” Green continued, “big government programs to address education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and welfare, the Office of Economic Opportunity and big labor and labor unions.”

“Now LBJ had the Great Society, but Joe Biden had Build Back Better, and he still was working on it, the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs. That is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on,” Green added referencing another of Biden’s Democratic Party predecessors, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

“And Joe Biden is attempting to complete socialism. Meanwhile, we are now $32 trillion in debt with record high homelessness 40 year record inflation. We’re losing the US Dollar as the number one world currency. We’re losing our freedoms. Our government is one big fat bloated machine and it’s killing the American dream,” she said. Ok then.

So for those who might have slept through history class, Lyndon B. Johnson, popularly known as LBJ, was president from 1963-1969 (he became president after John F. Kennedy was assassinated). LBJ is best known for escalating the Vietnam War, which is of course subject of enormous criticism, and for his groundbreaking domestic programs. These included not just the 1964 and 1965 Civil Rights Acts, but a suite of programs to deal with growing social problems and dire poverty that are collectively known as “The Great Society.”

Among the institutions created as part of this are Medicare and Medicaid, the National Endowment for the Arts, and food stamps.

(Marjorie Taylor Greene) ridiculed after her attacks on (Biden)
seem more like (compliments).

The speech by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) at the Turning Point Action conference left some progressives scratching their heads after her attacks on President Joe Biden appeared to be more like compliments.

Ranting at the far-right crowd, Greene attacked programs like Social Security, Medicare and other programs started by the late Democratic presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson.

She began by warning Joe Biden is trying to "finish what FDR started" by trying to address problems related to "education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and welfare."

It was revealed this week that "Bidenomics," the new attack phrase from the GOP, has done more to help red states with higher incomes than blue states, The New Republic cited.

"How will Dark Brandon ever recover from this?" mocked "Did Nothing Wrong" podcaster Jay McKenzie, referring to Biden.

Issuing a "'warning' that Joe Biden is going to create things like Medicare and Medicaid — both wildly popular programs — seems like an odd way to attack him, but have at it," said historian Kevin M. Kruse said, citing Kaiser Family Foundation data showing the popularity of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) knocked her too for saying Democrats and Biden want to "finish what FDR started."

"Yes," he agreed. "Guilty as charged."

"Did not have “Marjorie Taylor Greene doing campaign ads for Biden” on my election bingo card but here we are," influencer Shauna W. said.

@Real Music,
I hope Joe Biden doesn't miss the opportunity to use the footage for a campaign commercial.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has appeared in a rap music video, which she said is “calling out the left’s grooming agenda.”

In the video for the song “MTG”, Greene splits her time between sitting in a gold winged chair with sunglasses on at night and standing around looking at nothing in particular as MAGA rapper Forgiato Blow glorifies her in rap and mentions her support for various conspiracy theories.

The video opens with audio from Greene’s 60 Minutes interview earlier this year where she called President Joe Biden a pedophile: “Even Joe Biden the President himself supports children being sexualized and having transgender surgeries. Sexualizing children is what pedophiles do to children.”

Blow, who calls himself the “Mayor of MAGAville,” raps about how we only see a Biden double and the real Biden is locked in a basement, how the “deep state and the left” hate Greene for “spittin’ big facts,” and how Donald Trump actually won the 2020 election (a reference to the conspiracy theory that there was a massive and completely secret plot by Democrats to steal votes from Trump in states that he lost), in between rhymes about how Greene is “MAGA’s MVP.”

She's supposedly started to clean up her image, so as to run for Senate.

But there is no silk purse hidden in that sow's ear.
