I recieved a civil action against me, about a credit card I stopped paying on, cause I lost my job. Anyways..I have to send them a written answer to them...what kind of answer are they wanting? and what do I say? this is in North Carolina. And when I do send them a answer..do I have to get a certain form or can I send it on normal paper?
@Lujac,
Contact
Legal Aid and see about getting free or low cost representation. Collection agency lawsuits can be nasty and they can affect your credit for years. It's generally not something you want to handle yourself.
@Lujac,
I think you should consult an attorney and I think he will suggest you to send the authority regarding the amount you have paused to pay and the amount you would like to compensate thewm.
