what would be the new volume of oxygen gas when the temperature remains constant if the temperature changes from 39 C to 55 C and its initial volume was 685ml.
the answer for this question is 720 ml but why shouldn't it be to two significant
digits if we count the temperature 39 or 55 C as our final sig fig.

Temperature if given as 39 & 55 is two sig digits, if they are 39. and 55. they are three

BTW 720 ml is two sig digits, 720. ml is three. The additional sig digit is created by the decimal point.

685ml/ X ml=(55+273)/(55+273)
Xml=685ml*328 K/312 K=720 ml
