What can I do to make my computer run more apps without getting freeze up?

So do a little work and type out what it is - e. g. Mac or PC, the OS, etc.

Usually this is a memory issue. Look at your settings - are you running apps for no reason? Look for anything that opens up on start up. Some of that stuff can probably be toggled to a setting whereby you need to open the app manually. That will also make your starting up faster as a side benefit.
