FB Pages Add Friends and Message Button

Does anyone know why when I visit someone's FB page I can only see the add friends button and message button from my regular FB page but, not when I'm logged in under the page I created with FB Pages for my business and want that page to deal only with people in that business. I can see it under regular page and as soon as I click to switch to my FB pages page, it disappears. I'd hate to create a whole new account but, looks like I may not have a choice, annoying! Googled off and on for over a month can't find anything
