what in the world is this rock? never seen anything like it!

hello. my grandfather passed away without an explanation about the rocks he left me. one in particular is a metallic looking rock that i need help identifying. its driving me crazy! nobody knows what it is. any help would be very much appreciated. thanks!

We've never seen anything like it either... because we haven't seen it. Post a photo.
