Hobitbob is a black belt in what discipline?

I just caught Hobitbob's photo in the gallery with a black belt! I am curious as to what style or styles he has studied? The outfits looked like karate-do, but there are so many schools. I am no black belt, but I did study a bit of Shaolin Kung Fu, and Kobodu. I have a fascination with martial arts, so I am interested!

"Seibukan" - if this isn't a Korean car - it is.

(My niece used to be a member of the German national Karate (youth) team, 2nd Dan Shotokan, with 18 years)

I have one juvenile plaque from a Judo competition I entered as a youth....it was a laugh, my opponent was outweighed, and we were both trying to use the same takedown moves.

Okay, I'm making it into a black blindfold so that I can't see that you have your eyes closed.

Am I making sense?

Please pass the mushrooms.

The problem is TKD taught todis for sport and not effective on the street.

I'm a blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the Gracie family (specificly Renzo and Royler but I've trained with all)

Have done 5 years in Mauy Thai, have 2 golden gloves in boxing and am training a Russian version of Krav marga.

Been asked to go pro but I chose the army instead.

I agree about tae kwon do, but I only use it for a sport, and it is very fun for that.

Has anyone heard of Joe Lansdale? Not only is a very enticing writer of a unique genre of horror, science fiction and gritty backwoods American Gothic, he also has invented his own martial arts system, designed specifically for defence, and not competition. Read his free story (the current one he wrote with his kids), and check out his martial arts site. Cool stuff.

I am currently an inept Aikidoka.

I also took Kenpo Karate for a few months when I was living in New Hampshire.
