@contrex,
I never even noticed the missing what, C. My mind put it in right where it was supposed to be - illustrative of how writers and editors can easily miss something.

I thought he shot himself.

That's pretty precipitous.

Only if he did it while falling over a cliff.

or while it was raining?

@Berty McJock,
I have never been any good at sussing colognes, since I have very close to zero sense of smell. All my colognes have been gifts. (I fib a bit). Once, in an apartment I lived in for quite a while, the layered glass shelf, the one with all the cologne, catapulted off the wall.

I cleaned it up.

Others, had they come in the apartment, might have asphyxiated themselves in joy.

Why am I shown "following" Lolaessence? What does "following"mean? I didn't know I was following anybody. Who else am I following?

I object to being included in a gallery of such bad tempered, shagged out old codgers, misfits; osso excepted of course, and pompous, egotistical dead-beats.

Lolaessence came on the "Break up letter" thread with a peevish puritanical entry; derailing a promising flow, so I checked the profile page.

@Walter Hinteler,
My parents had delusional expectations, Walter. I'm about as brave as a sea sponge. And there is not even any parallel universe where I am sainted except one where the world is ruled by Michael Palin.

And how long did it take you to find that connection? Good grief, man. Shouldn't you have been doing something actually useful like insulating your attic with schnitzel dough? How does you wife put up with you?

As I wait here by the phone and while Set finishes off his breakfast of pancakes in the dining room...

I had not seen this Super Bowl ad before and it is very imaginative... http://www.buzzfeed.com/copyranter/no-this-is-the-best-super-bowl-commercial-ever
