Recovery of unsaved note in computer lockup

I was writing an extensive not on Facebook, something creative that I won't be able to reproduce, when the PC locked up and the cursor won't move. Right now writing on a different computer. Several hours of work and original thought stands to be lost. Guess I should have been saving as draft regularly but didn't think of that then. Any ideas for recovery? Does FB save any drafts of notes automatically? Went to My drafts using this computer, and it's not there. Any help appreciated.

@sunray777,
Eek. The only thing I can honestly think of is taking a photograph of the screen, as it sounds to me like you'll have to restart the PC where the keyboard is locked up, and it's likely that you'll just lose everything then.

@jespah,
Thanks - that's what I'm afraid of. Good idea, but I had must tabbed over to another screen when it locked, so it's not on screen. Probably nothing I can do, but anyone have any further ideas?

@sunray777,
Please clarify what the problem is. Is it your keyboard that is locked up or the computer screen?

Are you able to see the mouse pointer move?

Consider unplugging/plugging in your keyboard and see if that makes a difference.

If the mouse pointer moves, try collapsing the browser window by clicking on the box NEXT to the X in the upper right corner. That may free up some of the memory resource.

Which browser are you using? If it is Chrome, after shutting down your PC, Chrome will display a message about it not properly shutting down when last used and ask if you want to resume where you left it. Answer Yes. You may or may not be able to navigate back to the screen where you were typing your text.

@Butrflynet,
Thanks Butrflynet! As mentioned above, the cursor wouldn't move and everything frozen. I use Firefox. Disappointed, but finally had to hard shut down, and when I rebooted, Firefox brought me to where I left of, but the unsaved text in FB note was gone. Disappointed, but learned a lesson.
