It's all over in Oz...bar the public holiday on Monday.

It's only 1.20 am though....so no doubt lots of parties are still going.

That's why you were feeling so good, Roberta....Australia Day.

I usually go to some function or have a BBQ. This year was pretty quiet - recovering from surgery and awaiting the funeral of a loved one.

I live in a quiet beachside suburb and every Australia Day there's a big 'day on the beach' event. So I consider it 'Invasion Day' for more than one reason.

Awwwww.....it's actually raining here right now....I could smell it coming for ages. Love that smell!

Of course, as opposed to poor Queensland and northern New South Wales, where its pissing down and flooding, it's just wussing down here, almost like a teary mist. Hope it goes on. I have a ton of new plants in which have kind of been sitting there, sulking. I think a bit of real rain might liven them up.
