I modernized my AKM several years ago, the availability of quality kit is even better now.

I like the look of wood, on shoulder mounted weapons.

I'm not a fan of plastic and stamped metal, either.

Most of my rifles are cellulose intolerant.

The stamped steel receiver on this AKM is the thickest/sturdiest you will find on an AKM.

how many children per minute could it takeout?

Maybe, cause its Chinese, itll blow up in your face and wed lose another child hater

Vepr rifle, mainly a hunting weapon, semiauto which uses Mosin (7.62x54) ammo which is cheap and plentiful and comes in various types including hunting ammo with 170 and 180gr bullets making it suitable for large game. Receiver is stamped but it's basically an RPK receiver i.e. the strongest stamped receiver there is in the world, accuracy is quite good, mechanism the same basic fool-proof mechanism of the AK.

Nice woodwork, indeed. The expression "lipstick on a pig" comes to mind. I like guns, but I'm just not into ugly.

Pretty is usually not very practical, but if wood and lipstick are your thing, go for it.
