Im in my sophomore year and i get bullied every day by girls i used to call my best friends. i barely ever attend my school im in now because of them and due to health problems. some of my grades are low becasue of it and i really just want to move schools. the school im in now im out of district and its a 20 minute drive, and is public. the school i want to transfer to is a block away from me and is private. my new quarter starts in 2 er 3 weeks but the school i want to go to has already started their new quater. im scared they wont accept me because of my horrible attendence and 2 low grades. @toocute4you anna3,
What did or do your parents have to say about all this? It is their permission that all of this has to be signed off with. Let's hear the details of what they said when you discussed this subject with them. You did discuss this, right? And probably they'd have to come up with the tuition because many prvt shcools require tuition. Of course they know about the absences and bullying, too, right?

@toocute4you anna3,
Has the application been submitted yet?

You won't know if you're in til you apply. I'm sure your parents will do what they can to get you into a school that is more comfortable for you.

@toocute4you anna3,
What programs does the new school have that interest you?

What do you have to offer the new school and other students?

@toocute4you anna3,
The question was:

Quote:
What programs does the new school have that interest you?

What do you have to offer the new school and other students?

Your answer:
Quote:
nothing.

These are not good answers and that will not help you get what you want at all. That's a defeatist attitude.

Why not take some time and rethink things a bit. The new school will want to feel and get a sense of your abilities...that you are a 'can- do' sort of gal and that this is stuck inside you.

Use you skills to express yourself ..just like you've explained here and explain how and why you want to apply yourself and grow. Explain how the atmosphere where you had been bullied in the other schoool was oppressive and you need a fresh start.

What does this school have for you that you might want to explore? What interests you as far as extracurricular activities..drama club...cheeleading?

Whatever you do, you have to accept responsibility for your own actions and that this fresh start is all you need to rededicate yourself to studying. Ask your parents for a little help with ideas on writing this, too...if that is allowable.

@toocute4you anna3,
Of course you do. Your confidence has been damaged badly somewhere along the line. Ask your folks for some guidance 'cause we can only skirt around the edges. They know you best and they should be able to help you best.

@toocute4you anna3,
ok - so something about looking forward to meeting new people would be good

- having more time for extracurricular activities because of less travel time than at your previous school could be worked into something

- in terms of the education you probably need to look at the school's website so you have something more specific to say

i .e. there are advanced placement classes that might offer you a better challenge

or there are particular arts classes that interest you

~~~
before things started going wrong for you at your current school, what did you like about school?
@ehBeth,
i dont like anything about my current school. they way they run things are completely idiotic, the kids are horrible, the teachers barely help with anything they just tell you what you have to do, no one cares if you get picked on, ive been hospitalized because these kids drove me over the edge and no one cared, no one did anything to help me to make my time there better, they are finally trying to do something about it now that im leaving... its not even worth it anymore. the school is hell, and out of control.
@toocute4you anna3,
Have you been at the same school since kindergarten?
If not, what did you like about school generally?
If nothing, why do you want to continue your education?
