I want to start a fantasy movie box office league for 2013 here at a2k. Does anyone know what the rules are and how to set one up?

@tsarstepan,
The rules, pared down, go like this: each team pulls together a slate of 18 movies split from a budget of $270 million. Over the course of the year, the slate is rated on weekly domestic box office revenue, per-screen averages, critical reviews and the number of weeks in the domestic Top 5.

@tsarstepan,
<laughing>

I couldn't be less interested, this is one of the ways you and I are quite different, she says, chuckling. But assuming I was interested, it sounds like fun, a good idea that might have legs.

Hope you get it going and all have a long run.

@ossobuco,
Oh, wait, you're not talking about fantasy movies. . . .

@ossobuco,
Yep. Not talking about actual fantasy genre films but the movie equivalent to a fantasy baseball or football league but instead of choosing teams and athletes picking films and their possible box office intake.

@tsarstepan,
I think I'll not play the first year, but watch the process, since I've been so out-of-it re movies lately.

@ossobuco,
Well I'm in!

My movies are all probably going to bomb, since I'm such a weirdo when it comes to cinematic taste, but it will fun to see who does have their finger on the optic nerve of America.

@Kolyo,
Hmmmm. What box offices in particular?

@ossobuco,
To keep it simple and easy to update, I'll use the US theatrical release dates and thusly the US box office intakes.

@tsarstepan,
This sounds like fun. Where is a list of movies to be considered, and by what date do picks have to be made?

@nextone,
It's still a work in progress. Expect to hear more in a day or two.
