Just want to ask when i had the free version of adaware it seemed to help out alot. Now i am not a computer whiz by no means, and i only understand layman's terms. But can someone tell me when you use it and delete or quaranteen those bad ones, why do i get messages then saying that i can't run something? How would i "clean" it so that i can use it, without paying money for the service? Sorry i am probably asking dumb questions, but that's me and computers. I keep getting alot of pop ups that won't stop no matter what i have on here.

I used to use adaware, but i can't answer you question. I recently switched to spybot. It works much much better, and I think you can download it for free, but i'm not sure.

yleecoyote26- Welcome to A2K! Very Happy

There are some free programs that are given out for free precisely so that the manufacturers can insert their spyware. No spyware, no program.
When AdAware removes the spyware, the program won't work.

So you have a choice. If you REALLY want a particular program that is contingent upon them tracking you, you have to put up with being tracked.

Spybot Search & Destroy IS free. I use both Spybot and AdAware!
