Hi, could someone help me how to remove all MSN Messenger files? I think I had version 4.6 or something and I tried to uninstall it and when it didn't uninstall I just deleted the folder out of the program folders but now I have all this crap still left all over my computer. I have MSN shortcut in my IE web toolbar and under tools in IE it has another Messenger shortcut. Does anyone have a list of all the registry entries to delete or something as well? Thanks!
Microsoft intentionally bundled the program into a host of other necessary programs.
There are ways around it but it all depends on what you use. Deleteing it altogether is not really an option I think you should try. It's just a blip on the hard drive.
But you can do this registry edit to prevent it from being called into use at all:

Let us know if that doesn't solve it.
