I had the google toolbar installed at one time and it did not stop the popups. I had a similar problem with my other computer and someone help me fix a line in my log file. No popup stoppers will stop these anoying popups. I know that its a line or lines in my log file that need to be fixed.

Thank you for replying

Not in this case, Swimpy. The Google Toolbar blocks popups served from webpages, not popups from ad-serving scumware.

falcon, you have a number of problems on your system. Install Spybot and Ad-Aware, update them, fix the problems they find, then restart & post a new HijackThis log. It'll make things simpler.

I did notice that the dreaded Gator is lurking in your system. This one is bad news. Do a file search and delete everything associated with this program.

I'm not in a position to offer advice falcon I'm not a techie, but one comment I would make re. your above statement.

I downloaded the Google toolbar about 8 months ago and I haven't had a pop-up since. The counter tells me that to date it has blocked 3,784 pop-ups, which is 100%. ?????????

Falcon, giving your list a quick look, these jump out at me:

I'm sorta busy right now doin' a buncha stuff, and just dropping in here from time to time. If you'd like, I can go over your list at greater detail sometime in the next day or two.

You might wanna do a little research first, but I'd suggest getting rid of them. Have you run Spybot?
I noticed Zoomer and Hotbar, too. I'd dump those, unless you're fond of 'em.

TC3, I'd get rid of Blazefind, unless you're really fond of their toolbar. Its spyware through-and-through. I'm suprised neither Spybot nor AdAware nailed it. Are you sure your versions of each are current as to updates and properly configured? Again. lemme know, and sometime in the next couple days I can more closely examine your list if you think you need more help.
