Here's a typical scene of a couple of Australians on the beach...

Admittedly, they're a bit skinny "down under", but you have to give them points for their social skills.

This poor girl. She comes onboard and asks a serious question and who's at the door to greet her? Gustav and Slappy.

(She's gonna need counseling.)

Sheesh, what a thread start! A gus - slappy combo, quite deadly! I hope you have been properly warned about them BB!
Never been to Australia myself, a good friend just moved to Melbourne, we'll see what he has to say. I myself was quite keen on it, but then I hear about the fierce rabbits they have there... too dangerous to risk!

Are you going to pretend that you don't hang around with me and Slappy, Dag? Seems to me the three of us are damn near inseparable.

Sir, I am quite certain we have indeed not met before. Yes, I'm sure, go away now please. ;-)

Hey Gus, next thing she'll probably go and say she was "drunk" that night...damn women and their excuses.

There are many Australian members here at A2k and I'm sure they'll be here to respond. Australia is one of the one places I'd love to see, but I don't fly and am afraid of spiders, so I think it'll be very unlikely that I'll have the pleasure.

Gus, Slappy, & Dag
Are you guys following me again?

I figured it was you in that van Slappy. Good thing because I've had that AK47 pointed in your direction all day. You lucky bastid :-D

Dag
Just when I thought I'd never have any use for an AK47, it's times like these that remind me that they really do come in handy ;-)

I don't know why, but when I read this thread, (and stopped laughing), this immortal song by The Ramones just popped into my head:

Quote:
We're a happy family
We're a happy family
We're a happy family
Me mom and daddy.
Siting here in Queens
Eating refried beans
We're in all the magazines
Gulpin' down thorazines.
We ain't got no friends
Our troubles never end
No Christmas cards to send
Daddy likes men.
Daddy's telling lies
Baby's eating flies
Mommy's on pills
Baby's got the chills.
I'm friends with the President
I'm friends with the Pope
We're all making a fortune
Sellingd Daddy's dope.

Laughing Very Happy

This answers what is suburbia like Smile actually I live here and its taking the piss out of my surburb really well

http://www.geocities.com/myonehorsetown/

Its a lovely country - major cities on the most amazing harbours in the world, lots of action and adventure - little spiders until you hit the bush. Honestly the flies are more bothersome in Summer!
