Unfortunately, yes. Living in Oklahoma, I've heard even my close friends say things like this. A female friend "doesn't trust" black or Mexican men, another friend blames Mexicans for most problems, and even while working at a Mexican fast food restaurant, a woman came up to me and praised the location for "playing Christian music and only hiring white employees" (that wasn't true, but there were only 4 white people working at that moment). I told her we proudly hired and served people regardless of physical traits and that I personally had no say in the music, and she went "...oh." and left. I've even noticed teachers boatantly treating minority students more harshly than the rest, perhaps subconsciously. :-/

IDK, bur I do know that unless you can prove that the NAZI's were wrong about everything you have no point.

I knew someone who was not only racist, but also antisemitic, and even openly disliked brown eyed people (not pure Nordic, you know). Like, he would avoid touching a rail in a subway car if he saw a dark skinned person previously holding to it. Considered himself as a progressive and liberal citizen, fighting for social equality (apparently, for the blue eyed people only) and hated (other) Nazis. Upper middle class, late 20s at the time.
