@kwb2977,
The fact is this some of the things which you can do in laptop in more appropriate way but you cannot do it same like on tablets especially for gaming and the big machines we are not be able to transform in tablets.

@kwb2977,
A tablet actually be used for productivity in the same way as a laptop and effectively replacing it, if person used an iPad, along with a keyboard cover!

@kwb2977,
Yes off-course things are becoming more smaller day by day. There are many technologies we are using these days was not possible before like the hard drive of early days was really big and having very less storage but now we are getting 1000 times more storage only in USB drive so its an fact tablets will replace the laptop computers properly.

@bobmarleyking,
Laptops are getting thinner and smaller but tablets are getting bigger and wider.

@tsarstepan,
I need a laptop with a big screen and a full size keyboard. They can't make it that much smaller. The screen real estate alone means I want a bigger laptop.

Actually the difference between laptops and desktops is not only about the size of the devices but performance of the hardware. I can run 3ds max or Substance painter on a good laptop, but I cannot do this on tablet. However for such stuff like internet, video or some painting tablets are really good.

@kwb2977,
I don't think so.
It's hard to get people out of their comfort zone. and most of the people prefer using keyboard and mouse which is not available or common with tablets. So there's a less probability that computers would be totally replaced.

No, laptop is essential when working. I feel like it is better to use a laptop or desktop in a work place.

@kwb2977,
I think nothing is replacing nothing. Few years back we thought laptop will replace desktops. But those who have laptops 50% of them have desktop also. They use laptop for battery backup, traveling, emergency tasks etc.
Same thing also for laptop vs tablets.
Only very small laptops can take place of large laptops. Like 9 inch or 10 inch laptops. But different people has different choice about screen size ... so nothing is going to replace nothing

I don't think so, a tablet might be portable to bring anywhere you go but I still prefer working using my laptop.

@kwb2977,
Hi

You know people still read books after the computer was introduced to the public. And people will still use computers at the same time when tablets and smartphones took over the world. But we also have to use this opportunity to educate ourselves!!!

@kwb2977,
I highly doubt it. Tablets are more portable but they lack the features that a laptop has, such as a touchpad and keyboard, which makes technical work a lot easier depending on what you're doing. Laptops also have a dedicated screen that isn't cluttered by an on-screen keyboard.
