Reality check on Obama and Romney's new jobs claims

Forget all the latest rhetoric about Obama and Romney's claims they can create new jobs. The only connections the government has is new civil service jobs and government backed new projects approved by congress and signed by the president, and even that still has to be approved and funded by the ways and means committee, meaning either higher taxes or going further into debt.
