Is this a daphnia?

Hey everyone!
I'm doing an enviromental study for school and I am unable to identify this insect, I think it might be a daphnia but it doesn't look like any I can find on the internet. I found it in a wetland in Tasmania, Australia. Any help would be appreciated Smile

It looks like a Daphnia to me.

Sometimes a single specimen of something it's sufficient for identification (without genetic tests). It might be sick or damaged in some way. It would be better if you had a bunch of them. Then you'll need better pictures and you'll probably need to photograph them in a "swimming" condition since that's their natural condition and most other photo's are that way (for comparison).
