Thanks Jake. As an erstwhile writer myself I'm sure you will eventually find a market but in the meantime try Letters to the Editor, school pubs. There are teen mags that might actually pay a little but don't get discouraged by rejection

I'm all for giving kids motivation, but there's no point putting the cart before the horse. He's not even a teenager and you're actually recommending he send some self-conceited rap with irregular flow to an editor that he may actually be paid for? Please take your foot out your mouth.

I never even spoke directly at him, so how is my reaction discouraging? If he's really going to whimper like a pup because I'm offering my humble opinion, perhaps this life is not for him. Believe me, my criticism barely scratches the surface. I'm more worried about his thick skin -- or lack thereof.
